I have been working as an Industrial Designer for over 20 years, and have had the opportunity to work on products ranging from consumer electronics to household appliances, medical devices, and home goods. I continue to be passionate about design and the design process, and strive to make the user’s needs a priority over all else. I enjoy and excel at translating research findings into actionable, innovative design solutions. Over the years, I’ve led teams of talented designers, worked within design teams, and often worked as the sole designer on programs; always being able to produce high quality work in all environments, efficiently and effectively.

I received a BS in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati DAAP program in 2001, but spent my first three undergraduate years as a Mechanical Engineering major before deciding to make the transition to Design.

My corporate and consulting experience encompasses all aspects of the design process. This includes project management; market and design research; brainstorming; storyboarding; rapid 2D sketch visualization; 3D surface modeling; photo-realistic rendering; CMF exploration; physical model form development; and design for manufacturing.

I am proficient in a variety of industry-related software programs, and hold several design patents for brands such as Motorola, Rubbermaid, Thermos, Gerber, Sanford, Coleman Powermate, Bissell, Acco, and Typenex Medical.
