DIBKIT

A KIT APART: Inspired and designed by people living with Diabetes, the dibkit exemplifies how connected solutions can redefine daily lives. The dibkit system stands in sharp contrast to current offerings by consolidating tools and eliminating frustrations and steps inherent to managing and living with Diabetes.

AN INTEGRATED, HOLISTIC SYSTEM.

People living with Diabetes from around the world shared their stories, struggles, and needs with us through an online journal, “Submit Your Kit.” We learned that today’s supplies consist of too many parts and pieces and that constant logging can be a major struggle.

The dibkit is an integrated and holistic system that streamlines the daily and long-term management of Diabetes by connecting people, care providers, products, services, and information.

ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE.

Of the 26 million Americans living with Diabetes, about 95% are living with Type 2 Diabetes. Living in poverty not only doubles or triples the likelihood of developing Type 2 Diabetes, it can also lead to complications because of the resources required to manage the disease.

Currently, the most advanced Diabetes management systems are not covered by insurance, as they’re not primarily used as medical devices. Many logging tools and even some glucometers rely on smartphones and additional software.

The dibkit can be classified as a medical device, meaning that nearly all people can obtain the device through private insurance or Medicaid.

FEWER, SMARTER SUPPLIES.

Managing diabetes means managing the many supplies that patients and caretakers must have with them at all times–everything, everywhere, every second of every day.

The dibkit makes people’s lives easier by consolidating testing equipment to a pair of linked devices that are easy and convenient to take anywhere, anytime.

EFFORTLESS MANAGEMENT.

Logging is a critical, yet tedious part
of Diabetes care. Long-term management requires constant tracking of blood sugar levels, insulin doses, activity and food intake, enabling care providers and patients to identify patterns, set goals and make adjustments.

Since logging is often a step that people skip, the dibkit does it for them. The dibkit wirelessly connects supplies and data to a personal cloud of information that can be accessed using multiple devices.
