GRACO - BABY MONITORs

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

For the new Graco baby monitor line, we were asked to review the current market and research findings, identify potential opportunity areas, define feature sets, create platform solutions and capture solutions for communication and data transfer to a manufacturer chosen by the Graco team. 

IMMERSION

The initial phase of this program included activities that provided the design team with information from past marketing and retail meetings as well as immersion documents created previously by Insight for Graco.

CHALLENGES

The objective was to quickly develop a new line of products that connects to the current Graco visual brand language. The new line had to convey security, comfort, and clarity in a form that could transition from one space to the next. 

SOLUTIONS

Several aesthetic directions were created for analog, digital, and video baby monitors. The team worked closely with Graco and the manufacturer to continue the development of the chosen directions based on the marketing and retailer feedback.

We then defined the primary features for all of the units, and began to align color, finish, and material directions for refinement before handing them over to the manufacturer.
